What we need from your firm

• —Client initials
• —Brazilian state and, where known, the city or judicial district
• —Case number or court name, if your firm already has it
• —What the record is being used for, so we retrieve the correct certificate type
• —Whether apostille and certified translation are needed

Court certificates are not police certificates

Court clearance certificates and police clearance certificates are different documents from different authorities. Some U.S. filings require one, some the other, some both. If you are unsure, tell us the purpose and we will identify what applies before retrieval begins.

Sealed and restricted records

Some Brazilian court records are subject to judicial secrecy (segredo de justiça) and are not available on request. Where that applies, we tell you what is and is not obtainable rather than opening a matter that cannot be completed.
